Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nutrition care to patients of all ages, focusing on diverse socio-economic and cultural groups. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering optimal nutrition care through assessments, individualized care plans, and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams, including MDs, NPs, RNs, and social workers, to achieve clinical outcomes and key performance measures.
  • Developing and implementing nutrition education programs, including quarterly workshops and cooking demonstrations, to support low-income clients.
  • Maintaining accurate records, documenting effectively, and communicating pertinent nutrition data through the medical record.
  • Providing medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and food access resources to patients of the Ryan White program.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) certification in Massachusetts.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on clinical nutrition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a second language (Spanish, Vietnamese, or Portuguese) a plus.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records applications, such as EPIC, and basic skills in Microsoft applications.
