Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team at FreshPoint, a Sysco Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering containers to sites in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Containers: Safely transport containers to designated sites, ensuring timely delivery and minimal delays.
  • Operate Manual Transmission Truck: Demonstrate expertise in operating a manual transmission truck, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Complete Vehicle Reports: Accurately complete and submit vehicle reports, receiving documents, and trip sheets in a timely manner.
  • Manage Cargo: Ensure the safe and secure transportation of air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment.
  • Maintain Vehicle Cleanliness: Regularly clean and maintain the vehicle to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Account for Cargo: Accurately receive and account for all cargo, submitting receipts as required.
  • Report Accidents: Immediately report any accidents or incidents to the Driver Supervisor.
  • Log Break and Lunch Times: Accurately log break and lunch times, as well as follow the designated route on the trip sheet.
  • Attend Work Regularly: Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Work Overtime: Willingly work overtime as required to meet business needs.
Requirements
  • CDL A License: Possess a valid CDL A license, with the ability to drive Type 3 and CDL A & B vehicles as deemed necessary.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for industry experience.
  • Forklift Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, adhering to company safety protocols.
