About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced State Eligibility Manager to join our team at the Family and Social Services Administration. As a key member of our division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of benefits to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and assign work to subordinate staff, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize efficiency in eligibility processes.
  • Recruit, select, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood.
  • Set expectations, measure progress, and evaluate the performance of employees.
  • Ensure client inquiries are responded to within the provided timeframe.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of work experience in counseling, social services, education, public administration, or a related field.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in an administrative, managerial, or supervisory capacity.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits processing and state and federal rules, regulations, and policies governing public assistance programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with supervisory staff of other organizations.
