Job Summary

As an Auto Shop Helper, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our production area. This includes maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with equipment maintenance, and performing minor repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, and disposing of unwanted parts.
  • Assist with cleaning of spray booths and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Perform minor equipment and building maintenance/repairs when necessary.
  • Follow all guidelines in accordance with Caliber's Standard Operating Procedure and center procedures.

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy.
  • Nice to have, but not required: Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification.
Abilities/Skills/Knowledge
  • Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to understand instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
