We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Supply Chain to join our team at Gecko Hospitality in Garden City, NY.

Job Description

This is a critical leadership role that will drive the end-to-end supply chain operations, focusing on optimizing processes, reducing costs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services to support our restaurant's operational needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of products, materials, and services.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure reliable delivery of goods and services at the best possible cost and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels across multiple locations, ensuring the availability of products while minimizing waste and reducing costs. Develop and implement inventory control processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Manage the logistics and distribution functions to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to restaurants. Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain data, including purchasing trends, inventory turnover, and supplier performance, to identify opportunities for improvement. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Work closely with operations and finance teams to forecast demand, ensuring the supply chain is responsive to changing business needs and seasonal fluctuations.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency: Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency. Implement strategies to reduce waste, streamline processes, and increase operational performance across the supply chain.
  • Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, environmental sustainability practices, and company policies. Promote the use of sustainable sourcing and green practices within the supply chain.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across all functions. Set performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing training.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including operations, procurement, and finance, to align supply chain activities with broader company goals. Work with the restaurant teams to address supply challenges and ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management within the restaurant or foodservice industry, with 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. A proven track record of successfully managing supply chain functions in a high-volume, multi-location environment is required.

A competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, are offered to the successful candidate.
