Paramount Residential Mortgage Group is seeking a highly skilled Non-QM Underwriter II to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for the prudent underwriting of Non-QM loans in accordance with company and investor guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Loan Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company and investor guidelines.
- Credit Evaluation: Evaluate the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans to ensure an investment quality loan product.
- Calculation and Data Integrity: Check accuracy of all calculations and data integrity to ensure loan files are complete and accurate.
- Underwriting Workflows: Complete all required underwriting worksheets found in FastTrac 360 Resource Center.
- Loan Disposition: Recommend loan disposition to underwriting manager for loan amounts in excess of authority limitation.
- Productivity and Turnaround Time: Maintain company standard for productivity level and comply with company policy of 48 hour underwriting turnaround time and 24 hour turnaround time for clearing conditions.
- Communication: Communicate decision on loans to appropriate parties both verbally and in writing.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain underwriting activity logs and provide monthly underwriting report to underwriting manager.
- Experience: Minimum five years of recent NON-QM mortgage underwriting experience, with solid working knowledge of underwriting guidelines to include FNMA, FHLMC, and NON-QM Investors.
- Skills: Ability to review and calculate complex personal and/or business financials and tax profiles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Education: High school diploma.
Minimum: USD $70,000.00/Yr. Maximum: USD $95,000.00/Yr.
