Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at KFI Engineers, P.C. as a Mechanical Engineer.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the successful execution of projects, providing technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Thermodynamic Principles.
  • Develops estimates for assigned scope of work and is accountable for ensuring we stay within scope.
  • May serve as project manager for complete projects, overseeing a project team.
  • Supports the business development process through input to proposals, meeting and presenting to prospective customers, etc.
  • Provides work direction to other team members, including subcontractors, as assigned.
  • Approves final equipment selections and drawing submittals.
  • Provides technical and engineering support to other departments/disciplines.
  • Construction administration- leads and attends meetings, renews change orders, responds to RFI's.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar, related degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
  • Effective meeting management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction.
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Willingness to pursue PE licensure.
  • Experience in construction and/or engineering industry a plus.
