Safety and Compliance Specialist

Sparks Group is seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Safety Administrator to support their departmental safety and health programs. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with workplace safety, OSHA compliance, worker's compensation, and state and federal workplace safety regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct research to identify compliance requirements and conduct hazard and risk assessments of job functions and tasks
- Inspect work areas and associated equipment to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Review and analyze written materials, including safety programs and objectives, rules and regulations, and employee training records to identify potential safety issues
- Prepare reports and provide advice and assistance to departments on regulatory agency practices and procedures
- Coordinate and monitor the return to work of employees following a work-related illness or injury
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Health and Safety or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Thorough understanding of State and Federal law related to Industrial Health and Safety
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and excellent interpersonal skills
