Job Summary

Ellenville Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to join our team. As a Dietary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the appropriate foods at meal times. Your responsibilities will include performing menu and diet procedures, conducting food production tallies, assembling patient trays, and delivering nourishments to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform menu and diet procedures to ensure patients receive appropriate foods at meal times.
  • Conduct food production tallies for all three meals.
  • Assemble patient trays with the cook for delivery.
  • Deliver nourishments to patients as required.
  • Complete routine records and stats for the dietary department's PI and Accountability reports.
  • Assist with cold food production for patients and cafeteria patrons.
  • Fills requisitions for patient pantry stock as requested.
  • Assist with service and short-order work for the cafeteria. Cashiering as required.
  • Sets up for special functions as needed.
  • Answers and directs phone calls to the department.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all work areas when used or as assigned.
Requirements
  • 6 months commercial cooking experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Serve Safe certification preferred.
  • Customer Service.
  • Problem Solving.
