Position Title: Field Service OEM Representative

Department: Field Service

Classification: Exempt

Role Summary: The Field Service OEM Representative plays a crucial role in delivering essential support to our clients by maintaining and servicing our products.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will:

  • Deliver on-site service and customer support.
  • Oversee and implement all installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks on-site.
  • Identify and resolve technical and customer-related issues while ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Understand customer needs and provide suitable recommendations and briefings.
  • Document field modifications and processes accurately to support future product updates, ongoing service, and warranty claims.
  • Determine service requirements; procure and assemble components and parts to fulfill service requests.
  • Generate timely and comprehensive service reports and updates in the Sales Force system.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products manufactured by USSC and its suppliers/OEMs.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with clients.
  • Effectively plan and organize your work schedule.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications: You are an ideal candidate if you possess the following:

  • A high school diploma.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a technician or equivalent mechanical skills.
  • Experience in automotive or transit sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and proficient use of hand tools and other necessary equipment.
  • Capability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility regarding work hours and travel requirements.
  • A valid driver's license and passport, with the ability to travel internationally.
  • Familiarity with computerized business systems, including Excel, Word, email, and general computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including tact and diplomacy for customer service and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to policies promoting a safe work environment.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing pressure and adapting to change swiftly.
  • Commitment to punctuality and attendance standards.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and some weekends to support company growth.
