Broward College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty, English. We are seeking passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st-century learners who aspire to excel in their respective fields.
Key Responsibilities- Teach one or more sections of English (typically ENC 1101 or ENC 1102) at Broward College's Central Campus.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of diverse students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on industry trends.
- A Master's Degree in English, Literature, Composition & Rhetoric, Creative Writing, or a closely related field with 18 graduate credit hours in English, Literature, Composition & Rhetoric, Creative Writing is required.
- PhD preferred.
- Graduate degree in English, literature, linguistics, rhetoric, creative writing, or language arts OR 18 graduate semester hours in English, literature, linguistics, rhetoric, creative writing, or language arts and a completed graduate degree in any field.
All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and/or weekend hours.
BenefitsPart-time position with a competitive salary range of $1,986 - $2,266.02.
