Job Description Summary

Broward College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor, English. We seek passionate educators and practitioners who can facilitate the needs of diverse 21st-century learners and help them achieve academic success.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach one or more sections of English (typically ENC 1101 or ENC 1102) at Broward College's Central Campus in Davie.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.

Requirements:
  • A Master's Degree in English, Literature, Composition & Rhetoric, Creative Writing, or a closely related field with 18 graduate credit hours in English, Literature, Composition & Rhetoric, Creative Writing is required.
  • PhD preferred.
  • Graduate degree in English, literature, linguistics, rhetoric, creative writing, or language arts OR 18 graduate semester hours in English, literature, linguistics, rhetoric, creative writing, or language arts and a completed graduate degree in any field.

Work Schedule:

Varies according to class schedule.


Salary Range:

$1,986 - $2,266.02.
