Job Overview

The City of Lincoln and Lancaster County is seeking a skilled professional to oversee and safeguard our cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on Azure and M365 administration, while also engaging with various other cloud services as necessary. This role is integral to a collaborative team dedicated to ensuring redundancy in support and tackling complex challenges together.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to identify, define, and implement Microsoft Azure solutions tailored to the needs of our organizations. Key platforms include but are not limited to:
    1. M365/Office online
    2. Teams
    3. SharePoint
    4. Exchange Online
    5. Various Azure Microservices
    6. Entra ID
    7. Microsoft Active Directory and related services
    8. DevOps
  • Engage with colleagues and vendors possessing specialized skills for the identification, provisioning, management, and troubleshooting of cloud services.
  • Work alongside the Customer Service team and directly with clients on Tier 2/Tier 3 support issues.
  • Oversee automation processes for Active Directory and Entra ID user lifecycles based on employment status.
  • Manage on-premises servers to support hybrid service integrations.
  • Conduct system audits to ensure that infrastructure provisioning aligns with internal security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare periodic reports related to the above responsibilities for management review.
  • Engage in relevant continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain a security-first approach in all tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, coupled with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the support and administration of computer systems and infrastructure; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
