Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Development Program Coordinator to join our team at the YMCA of Orange County. As an After-School Program Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for children, fostering a positive and supportive environment, and collaborating with staff and parents to ensure the success of our program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and lead activities that promote social-emotional learning, arts and crafts, STEM/STEAM, and physical education for children aged 5-12.
  • Staff and Parent Communication: Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, parents, and community partners to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct regular assessments to ensure program excellence, participant safety, and a well-maintained facility or classroom environment.
  • Discipline and Safety: Implement appropriate disciplinary actions to maintain a stable and nurturing atmosphere, and ensure participant safety at all times.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of attendance, program participation, and other relevant data as required.

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
