Job Title: Process Safety Specialist

As a Process Safety Specialist at Calvano Search Consultants LLC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe design and operation of our chemical processing facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and controlling hazards, providing process safety expertise during safety reviews, and developing compliance strategies for regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide process safety expertise during safety reviews for new and existing processes to ensure safe design and operation.
  • Develop and implement process safety programs and culture to improve safe operation of our facilities.
  • Manage change support and incident investigation support, including analysis of incident root cause data and development of effective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead design reviews for new, existing, and changing processes to ensure safe design and operation.
  • Interface with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, trade associations, and non-governmental agencies, to promote company philosophies and leverage benchmarking opportunities.
  • Fulfill the role of PSM/RMP Coordinator for the Port Arthur site, providing primary support for facility siting related topics.
  • Provide expert consultation on process safety issues.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Engineering or Science (ChemE preferred).
  • Professional certification in Safety preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in Chemical manufacturing or direct manufacturing support roles.
  • Understanding of chemical processing and technologies will be a valued asset.
