Job Title: Process Engineer - Thermoforming Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer - Thermoforming Specialist to join our team at Gable Search Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in thermoforming process engineering and a hands-on approach to providing subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Start-up of forming and trimming processes for thermoformed parts at our new manufacturing facility
  • Maintenance of production performance and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Specification, purchase, installation, and start-up of new assets for fabrication of thermoformed parts
  • Completion of safety risk assessment and safety lifecycle during development, installation, and start-up of new equipment and processes
  • Technical training for thermoforming and trimming of plastic parts
  • Process improvement initiatives for Thermoforming and Trimming
  • Development of OEE and Quality improvement plans with the plant Leadership Team
  • Responsible for CAR development and follow-up through the submission/approval process
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or better in Engineering
  • Strong analytical skills using standard software packages such as Excel and maintenance work order systems
  • Demonstrated collaborative ability in dynamic organizational environments
  • Results-oriented with a high energy level for process and performance improvement
  • Technical experience to include process support and working/hands-on knowledge of thick gauge sheet thermoforming
  • Lean Methodologies or Continuous Process Improvement required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience in technical roles with a strong emphasis on safety
