Position Overview
The National Board Resource Center is seeking a Communications Director to play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the operations of the Center. This position is integral to the success of the Illinois Master Teachers' support program, which is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in the overall management of the Center's activities.
- Oversee the development and dissemination of communication materials.
- Engage in recruitment, hiring, and supervision of staff.
- Ensure effective communication strategies are implemented.
- Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- A minimum of six years of teaching experience in K-12 education.
- At least four years of experience with grant-funded initiatives.
- Proven ability in recruitment and team management.
- Strong skills in creating and distributing communication materials.
- Valid driver's license required.
Work Schedule
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and may require occasional evening or weekend work based on operational needs.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
