GCI Residential LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at our Legacy Rochester Hills residential apartment community in Rochester Hills, Michigan. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the assigned residential community, ensuring maximum financial return and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents by handling requests for maintenance service and resolving customer issues related to rental collection, renewals, move-ins/move-outs, and complaints about other residents, staff, or company policies.
- Staff Management: Act as a liaison between the Property Manager and staff, managing leasing and maintenance staff in the Property Manager's absence.
- Financial Management: Assist with the collection of delinquent accounts and manage the eviction process with the approval of the Property Manager and assistance from the resident services and leasing staff.
- Resident Retention: Develop resident correspondence and assist with resident retention activities.
- Administrative Support: Assist with preparation for and attend/participate in staff meetings and training, manage office supplies, and coordinate purchases within company guidelines and budget.
- Representative: Represent GCI Residential LLC in a professional manner at all times, consistently maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with residents, co-workers, and the general public.
Requirements:
- Experience: Three to five years of experience as a site manager, leasing manager, or related management experience, with industry experience strongly preferred.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Education, or Liberal Arts, or equivalent related work experience in real estate or sales management, training, or marketing.
- Skills: Proven track record in meeting and exceeding goals, excellent verbal and written communication skills, top-notch organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, proven computer skills (MS Office and internet), demonstrated problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, and ability to motivate others.
Additional Requirements:
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurance required.
- Work Schedule: Minimum of forty hours required, regular attendance is mandatory.
