Job Title: Aquatic Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Aquatic Instructor to join our team at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool in Juneau, AK.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to students of all ages, from six months to senior citizens. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to understand and convey swimming and aquatic safety concepts.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach swimming lessons to students of all ages
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Attend periodic training sessions to improve and learn new teaching strategies
Requirements:
  • American Red Cross certification as a Water Safety Instructor or other specialized certification in diving, scuba diving, or kayaking
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and convey swimming and aquatic safety concepts

Working Hours and Location:

This position will be weekday evenings during the school year, weekday mornings typically from 8am-12pm during the summer, and Saturday mornings.
