About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reconciliation Analyst to join our team at First Interstate Bancsystem Inc. As a Reconciliation Analyst, you will be responsible for performing general ledger and bank-controlled deposit account reconciliations, reporting any out of balance conditions immediately, and working with appropriate bank personnel to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex operational account reconciliations using automated reconciliation systems.
  • Perform manual reconciliations related to receivables, payables, various suspense and in-process accounts, due-from accounts, and bank-controlled deposit accounts using the Oracle reconciliation system.
  • Balance subsidiary ledger systems for deposits, loans, & investments to the associated general ledger control accounts.
  • Research, track, and resolve all out of balance conditions and work with appropriate bank personnel to resolve differences.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-5 years accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance, or similar discipline from four-year College or University is preferred.
  • Keyboarding and 10-key skills are essential. Computer experience with Internet, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Good reasoning ability. Understanding of basic accounting concepts.
  • Capable of working independently and in a group setting. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email.
