We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support our faculty and subject matter experts in creating innovative learning experiences for credit-bearing and non-credit programs.

Job Summary:

The Instructional Designer will play a key role in developing interactive online courseware modules, self-paced learning experiences, and high-quality learning materials tailored to the unique needs of non-credit learners. This dynamic position requires expertise in instructional design theory, adult learning principles, and effective teaching strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop interactive online courseware modules and self-paced learning experiences for non-credit programs, collaborating with subject matter experts.
  • Create high-quality learning materials tailored to the unique needs of non-credit learners.
  • Incorporate innovative tools, media, and instructional strategies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance learner engagement and interactivity.
  • Serve as a liaison between campus continuing education program owners, the Center, and the Office of Information Technology to ensure the non-credit LMS supports diverse program offerings.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience developing online learning courseware and teaching online.
  • Mastery of instructional design theory, adult learning principles, and effective teaching strategies.
  • Expertise in course and learning management systems, multimedia authoring tools, web conferencing technology, and AI-driven content development tools.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

Salary: $61,700 - $72,500 per year
