Position Summary:
BGT Interior Solutions is in search of a dedicated Field Superintendent to oversee various projects within the Dallas-Fort Worth region. This role entails managing all facets of assigned projects, ensuring effective communication and support for the field team, and providing regular updates to management regarding project status and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Supervise the progress of projects on-site, keeping all relevant personnel informed about critical timelines and milestones. Thoroughly review all contractual documents to grasp BGT's responsibilities, including plans, take-offs, layouts, and material specifications. Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure clarity before production begins. Coordinate with General Contractors and team leaders to manage installation schedules and required skills, ensuring comprehensive understanding through presentations. Document daily job activities and issues, including workforce reports, and maintain material availability on-site.
- Team Leadership: Offer guidance and support to the field team, fostering collaboration with other departments to achieve project goals. Conduct post-project surveys with employees and General Contractors, prepare payroll documentation, and perform site visits as necessary.
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate with various departments to monitor project budgets and report any anticipated discrepancies promptly. Review and approve on-site expenditures, ensuring effective management of materials for both new and ongoing projects. Maintain consistent reporting on project timelines, budgets, and schedules, while logging daily activities.
- Contractual Oversight: Participate in contract review meetings to provide insights before finalizing agreements. Address any concerns with the Production Director and work alongside Estimating and Project Engineering teams on material change orders.
- Professional Development: Commit to enhancing job knowledge and expanding expertise through ongoing education and training related to the construction field. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; PMP certification is an advantage. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in the multi-family construction sector is essential, with a preference for experience in interior finishes.
