Position Overview
The Epic Cupid Cardiology Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of Jupiter Medical Center by configuring and maintaining clinical applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
This position involves collaborating with stakeholders to deliver solutions that ensure accurate, secure, and efficient patient care, as well as optimizing provider workflows and medical billing processes, all while focusing on quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis and design of workflows, integrating various aspects of cardiology including scheduling, laboratory services, radiology, billing, and inpatient care.
- Engage in complex configuration and build processes within Inpatient Applications, particularly concerning Orderable/Performable tests and procedures.
- Participate actively in planning, implementation, and go-live activities for assigned applications, which includes on-site engagement with clients, gathering specifications, and identifying process gaps.
- Monitor and manage support tickets diligently, ensuring thorough documentation of activities and resolution of issues within established service levels.
- Facilitate the adoption of new workflows and processes, working closely with operational leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Engage in system testing by executing scripts and accurately documenting any identified errors or deficiencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the organization.
Qualifications
- Preferred certification in Epic Cupid Cardiology.
- Knowledge of cardiology workflows and procedures is advantageous.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or a combination of relevant education and 5-7 years of experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications is required.
- Prior experience with cardiology information systems and understanding of operational interactions within the cardiology department is essential.
- Familiarity with non-invasive cardiology workflows and Cath and EP lab processes is beneficial.
