We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in Lake Jackson, TX. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, accessible care to our patients, focusing on wellness and prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality care to all patients, treating them with dignity and respect.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR) for all patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and organization information.
- Assist in the modification of patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses, conditions, and as ordered by the provider.
- Consult and coordinate with internal and external partners to plan patients' health activities, treatment, and referrals.
- Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider's order.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
- Perform diagnostic testing to assist the provider in identifying and assessing patients' conditions.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure rooms are stocked with supplies.
- Perform administrative functions, front office functions, and schedules appointments as requested.
- Refer patients to specialists within their elected health plan or community agencies.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
- Graduate from an approved nursing program with an associate degree or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience.
- Current license in state of residence or compact licensure.
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
