The Accountant II plays a crucial role in executing a variety of financial and accounting functions, including reconciliations and analytical tasks. This position encompasses responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and additional financial operations. The role involves close collaboration with both the Finance/Accounting and Sales departments, contributing significantly to the overall effectiveness of the Finance/Accounting unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Primarily assists in managing the company's accounts receivable operations, which entails reconciling provider commission statements and identifying as well as resolving discrepancies.
Supports accounts payable functions and schedules payments.
Assists in monthly closing activities and financial reporting.
Conducts necessary audits and/or engages in projects by generating reports, performing analyses, and supplying relevant information and/or summaries as needed.
Researches, analyzes, and effectively communicates fundamental accounting issues, escalating them as necessary.Implements appropriate accounting practices for the preparation of financial records, transaction research, and reporting.
Delivers customer service and reporting to stakeholders.
Performs additional related tasks as required or requested.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements (education and experience):
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
Additional Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
Proficiency in Excel.
Capability to manage competing priorities and complete various tasks accurately and thoroughly.
Strong attention to detail.
Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
Ability to quickly learn new systems/software.
Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues through critical thinking and analysis.
A solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in public accounting.
Familiarity with Salesforce.
Experience with Quickbooks Online.
