Job Summary: We are seeking a home care provider for senior patients in Eugene, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dedicated, and able to provide excellent care to patients in their homes.

About the Role:

As a home care provider, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, providing companionship and emotional support, and maintaining accurate records of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Monitor and record patients' physical and mental conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff.
  • Daily Living Support: Provide companionship and emotional support. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary monitoring. Support patients in managing their medication schedules and remind them to take them as directed.
  • Healthcare Support: Record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration). Assist in basic healthcare tasks as directed by healthcare professionals. Transport patients to medical appointments or treatments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Oregon Certification in caregiving or nursing assistance is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a caregiver. Familiarity with basic medical terms and practices.
  • Certifications: Must have a Certification for Pre-Service Dementia Care Training for Direct Care Staff. Must have a Certification for Pre-Service Infection Prevention and Control for Community-Based Care.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $21 per hour.
