We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist PRN to join our team, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients. If you are passionate about patient care and thrive in a supportive environment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Therapist is responsible for assessing patients, establishing goals, designing treatment plans, and providing care in accordance with physician directives. This role includes maintaining accurate records, managing patient billing, and offering technical guidance to support staff.

Key Duties Include:
  • Assessing speech, language, and swallowing capabilities of patients with impairments or functional limitations due to various causes, and developing a tailored care plan with appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Documenting evaluations, treatments, care plans, charges, and discharge summaries using professional terminology that justifies the necessity of skilled therapy.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and outcomes in compliance with the Speech Therapy Practice Act.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to implement and evaluate treatment programs.
  • Providing constructive feedback to management to enhance productivity and foster a positive professional development environment.
  • Offering education and supervision to Certified Fellowship Year speech pathologists and speech therapy students.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Licensure from the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Preferred membership in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (unless an approved medical or religious exemption is provided).
