Prestige Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Greet patients, ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow, and escort patients to the discharge counter.
- Medical Support: Obtain patient history, assess and triage patients, measure vital signs, and record information on the medical chart.
- Preparation and Assistance: Explain treatment procedures, prepare patients and exam rooms for examinations, and position instruments and equipment for physicians.
- Medical Procedures: Assist physicians with procedures, perform dosage calculations for administering medications, and perform injections and vaccinations as needed.
- Administrative Support: Complete medical charts, arrange referrals and testing, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Clerical Support: Assist registration staff and perform additional clerical duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
- Certification: Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Experience: Two or more years of medical assisting experience.
- Skills: Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology, CPR certification, and basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
