The Licensed Practical Nurse – Clinic Lead is responsible for overseeing the clinical support personnel in the daily functions of the designated outpatient clinic. This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow and optimal resource allocation to meet service demands with the available workforce. The position collaborates closely with the Practice Manager and/or Healthcare Provider to implement, delegate, and conduct training programs aimed at maintaining regulatory compliance and delivering effective patient care, including the oversight of competency evaluations.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising daily clinical and administrative support staff as directed by the clinic manager. Oversee clinic inventory management and organization of medical supplies and sample medications. Coordinate staff schedules and make adjustments to meet productivity requirements. Ensure compliance with all state and rural health regulations in clinic operations. Manage and implement laboratory operations, including reporting and results, in coordination with the clinic manager. Engage in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives. Facilitate the resolution and implementation of decisions or improvements as requested by management or in collaboration with the clinic manager. Conduct daily huddles and metrics meetings, ensuring attendance and participation. Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care at the assigned clinic, maintaining nursing practice standards in partnership with the clinic manager. Qualifications
Required Education
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program is mandatory.Required Minimum Experience
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse license from the state licensing board is required.PREFERRED Education and/or Experience
3 to 5 years of practical nursing experience in a clinic or acute care setting is preferred. A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
