Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project documents, specifications, and blueprints to create detailed cost estimates for drywall installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine the scope of work for drywall installation
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead
  • Coordinate with project managers and suppliers to gather all necessary information for cost estimation
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services
  • Track and assess changes in project scope, updating estimates as necessary
  • Maintain and update estimating software and databases with current pricing for materials and labor
  • Provide support to the project management team during project handovers, ensuring that all estimate details are clearly communicated
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, materials, and construction methods to provide accurate estimates

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the drywall or construction industry
  • Strong understanding of drywall systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Experience with estimating software and tools
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
