Eliot Community Human Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate residential services for adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
Responsibilities- Medical Consultation and Education: Provide education and consultation to individuals and staff on medical issues, treatments, medications, wellness, and prevention.
- Program Oversight: Provide oversight, guidance, and consultation in all residential programs around medical protocols, medication management, and coordination of care.
- Medical Documentation: Review all medical documentation, complete medical assessments, and prepare medical documentation for all new referrals and discharges.
- Nursing Care and Support: Perform direct nursing care and medical support services to all residential programs as needed.
- Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and supervise nursing staff for the Brain Injury programs.
- Medical Coordination: Develop working relationships with community medical providers and VNA-related services to assist with coordinating medical care for individuals.
- Treatment Planning: Participate in the development of treatment goals for each individual related to medical, medication, or health concerns.
- MAP Certification and Compliance: Obtain and maintain MAP Trainer certification and conduct MAP certification and MAP Refresher training for staff on an ongoing, scheduled basis.
- 3 years of related experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Skills to establish supportive relationships with individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
- Commitment to meeting the individual needs and preferences of each person served.
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm.
SalaryRegistered Nurse: $85,000.00 per year. Licensed Practical Nurse: $62,680.00 per year.
