Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the operating room, assisting in the preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

The Surgical Technologist will work closely with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience for patients. This includes preparing and processing supplies and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and assisting with patient care and comfort.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment
  • Prepare and process supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist with patient care and comfort
  • Work closely with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical experience
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Current CPR certification
  • Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training Program or equivalent experience
  • The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
