Job Summary:

The Private Duty RN is a skilled nursing professional responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide skilled nursing care, including wound care, medication management, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop plans to address these needs.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida RN license
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Successful completion of Level II background screening
  • Valid driver's license or ID card

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to biohazardous waste and unknown diseases
  • Ability to move in crowded conditions
  • Ability to operate an automobile in variable conditions
  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting, turning, pulling, or ambulating patients up to 20 times daily
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds, unassisted, up to six times daily
  • Standing, walking, bending, and stooping for 90% of assigned shift

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current valid driver's license or ID card
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as evidenced by driving record for 3 years prior to employment
