Compensation is based on a base wage, with commissions paid bi-weekly and a Summit Commission Accelerator based on quota attainment.
Client Relationship Management
This role involves establishing professional relationships with client families to ensure all needs are met at the time of need or on a pre-need basis. You will guide families through options related to interment, cemetery property, and related merchandise and services, exceeding their expectations.
Facility Tours
Provide tours and assist families in locating cemetery lots.
Service Excellence
Build relationships, ensure excellent service, and develop potential referrals while attending services and visitations for client families. Ensure compliance with state and industry regulations and company policies by accurately completing required documents and conducting random audits.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain strict adherence to pricing structures and meet required timelines by submitting all contracts, required documents, and payments to the Business Office. Report progress to the Sales Manager and submit all required reports in a timely manner.
Prospecting and Community Outreach
Actively pursue the development of new prospects and community-based contacts by conducting presentations that highlight merchandise, services, and the benefits of pre-need arrangements at various locations.
Team Collaboration
Sustain positive communication and cooperation with all funeral homes, departments, and team members to ensure a service that exceeds family expectations.
Confidentiality
Protect the confidentiality of company and client family information, including sales and marketing programs, materials, and any additional related information.
Training Participation
Participate in all required specific location and company training initiatives.
- Customer service orientation.
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
- Proven track record of success in outside sales production strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently; bilingual is a plus.
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) preferred.
- Tactful and professional when dealing with complaints or dissatisfaction with services or merchandise.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment.
- Duties are generally performed in an indoor office setting, with some outdoor duties that may require exposure to natural elements.
Travel Requirements
This position may require up to 10 percent out-of-area and overnight travel, primarily local during business hours.
