Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Finger Lakes Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, grooming, and elimination needs.
  • Document resident care and progress in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, including answering call lights and alarms promptly.
  • Assist with meal delivery, tray preparation, and nourishments.
  • Participate in care conferences to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Report changes in resident status to Charge Nurse and/or Supervising Nurse in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Preferred: High school degree, GED, or Human Services degree (or coursework).
  • Must be currently enrolled in a State-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing basic nursing care.
  • Ability to work under stress and relate to residents, staff, and visitors.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
