We are seeking a highly skilled Access Control Systems Specialist to join our team at Business Network Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining access control systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Installation: Drive to customer locations to install and program new access control systems and equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing access control systems, including electric strikes, mag locks, card readers, sensors, door handles, and control boards.
- Technical Expertise: Understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system design and installation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and interpret local code and regulations as they relate to access control and fire safety.
- Customer Service: Work with customers to understand their security needs and design solutions that meet those needs, utilizing Bluebeam Software to create and update access control designs.
- Experience: 3-5 years of field experience with access control systems, including low voltage wiring and structured cabling.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic electrical conduit tools and practices, as well as experience with Cat5e/Cat6 terminations.
- Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including willingness to perform work on ladders and aerial lifts when required.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrate a professional manner both at the customer site and while in the office, with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Travel: Ability to travel overnight to customer sites as needed.
- Audio/Video Experience: Experience with audio/video systems, telecommunications, and fiber optic cabling and fusion splicing.
