Solid Waste Engineer Project Manager

Job Overview

As a Civil Engineer with Civil and Environmental Consultants, you will lead civil and environmental engineering projects primarily associated with solid waste facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing projects such as landfill design, permitting, and construction, as well as interacting with office and field staff, clients, regulators, and contractors. You will be part of a team that completes landfill design, permitting, and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage civil and environmental engineering projects associated with solid waste facilities
* Prepare, review, and compile permit applications, proposals, and technical reports
* Manage engineering tasks such as airspace and soil balance volume calculations, slope stability and settlement analysis, stormwater management system design, leachate management system design, and landfill gas collection system design
* Manage Construction Quality Assurance projects including landfill cell liner/leachate collection systems, gas collection systems, cap construction, and environmental monitoring of landfill facilities

Requirements

* B.S. in Civil Engineering
* 5-8 years of professional engineering experience
* Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through writing
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
* Ability to take direction and complete assigned projects and tasks
* Organizational skills
* Ambition with a desire to learn and apply new skills
* P.E. certification preferred
* Experience with HELP Model, HydroCAD, Slide, KYPipe, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
