Job Title: Field Service Technician - Sustainable Energy Systems

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Western Branch Diesel. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical field service work on MTU gas engines, including commissioning, troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhaul work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute service on the engines in compliance with the maintenance protocol, including checking oil, replacing filters and valves, and performing various types of measurements.
- Carry out minor repairs on the engine in addition to the planned service.
- Execute major service on the engine in cooperation with colleagues in compliance with the protocol for major service.
- Coordinate tasks with external suppliers who provide specialist duties.
- Monitor activities of the maintenance protocols.
- Analyze failures on the engines in the specialization of mechanics, electronics, and associated software systems.
- Troubleshoot engines in the field of electronics and mechanics.
- Create visit reports of the site regarding the reason for visit, symptoms, actions, use of materials, parts, and hours, the result, and if needed, follow-up actions.
- Fault analysis and resolution escalation.
- Ensure that a basic set of spare parts are in the van, ensure that the materials are approved, and have a clean working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team of technicians or independently.
- Process timesheets, expense reports, and job reports in a timely manner.
- Comply with policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work site.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of reciprocating engine experience preferred.
- Experience as a car mechanic, car electrician, and electrician.
- Mechanical Technician or higher.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, mainly in Maryland and Virginia markets.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Ability and willingness to work remotely, as required.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required.
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle when needed.
