Job Overview: Responsible for the planning, organization, direction, and coordination of the front-of-house team within the restaurant and gastropub, ensuring efficient, well-executed, and profitable service in the food and beverage sector. Operates in accordance with established protocols and standards set by Embassy Suites and Indus Hotels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant and banquet areas to guarantee consistent high standards of preparation and service.
- Oversee bar operations to enhance profitability, minimize legal risks, and adhere to alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Assist in the training and scheduling of food service staff.
- Uphold standards of food and beverage quality and guest service.
- Address and resolve complaints related to food quality and service.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining spaces.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a courteous manner, ensuring guest satisfaction through follow-up.
- Inspect all pre and post-shift side work and cleanliness of outlets.
- Maintain standards of food and beverage quality and guest service.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Carry and respond to designated communication devices at all times.
- Ensure effective, timely, and accurate communication regarding policies, procedures, and hotel goals with staff.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Management.
Qualifications: High level of professionalism; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities; leadership capability. Knowledge of health department regulations, liquor laws, and regulations. Ability to clearly present and train on food and beverage topics.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma; College Degree Preferred; Previous Banquet Experience required.
Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with guests, associates, and managers.
Equipment/Computer Skills: Proficient in Excel and Word; basic spreadsheet creation; ability to compose and send emails. Knowledge of POS systems is essential.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift; move and carry tables and chairs; work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment: Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Customer Focus: Our guests are our priority. Positive interactions with staff are crucial for a favorable guest experience. It is essential to maintain professionalism and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect at all times. Every associate is a guest relations ambassador, representing the hotel every moment of every day.
Work Ethic: To ensure a positive experience for guests and associates, work habits should consistently meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for procedures, attire, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Adaptability to changes in work areas and hotel procedures is essential, along with a willingness to learn new skills or enhance existing ones. Problem-solving skills are necessary, and seeking assistance when unsure is encouraged.
Safety & Security: The safety and security of our guests and associates is paramount. All associates should adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, handling chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and concerns.
Compensation details: 18-20 Yearly Salary
