In this position, you will play a vital role in the management of food services at a prominent mental health facility. As a Senior Food Service Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of the food service unit, guiding a team of staff in the efficient execution of their duties. You will be tasked with interpreting menu guidelines, enforcing hygiene standards, and conducting inspections of kitchen and dining facilities. Additionally, you will manage inventory and supply requisitions, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for smooth operations.

Employment Type/Compensation:

  • Full-time position with 8-hour shifts
  • $16.58 per hour along with a comprehensive benefits package
  • Work schedule: 5 days a week, 40 hours total
  • Non-exempt status

Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a minimum of three years of experience in a commercial or institutional food service setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates may substitute one year of vocational or technical training in food preparation for one year of required experience.

Special Considerations:

  • Applicants must be prepared to undergo a physical examination as part of the hiring process, meeting the physical demands of lifting and carrying weights as specified.
  • A valid driver's license is required for any job-related travel.
