Director of Facilities and Grounds

Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities and Grounds to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operations, and upkeep of our campus facilities and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Maintenance Department, Environmental Services, and Land Management to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for facilities and grounds management, including budgeting, personnel management, and work standards.
  • Oversee the planning, design, construction, alteration, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities and grounds.
  • Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program, quality assurance program, and analyze staffing needs.
  • Prepare annual capital and expense budgets for maintenance, environmental services, and land management, and ensure departments operate within allocated funds.
  • Interview, hire, and train department staff, and maintain a system for performance appraisal in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Progressively responsible experience in engineering and facilities and grounds management, including a minimum of 8+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Project engineering management experience required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, local standards and codes, and requirements of regulatory/accreditation agencies.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
