Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Record Patient Condition: Continuously monitor patients' respiratory status and record vital signs, treatment responses, and any changes in condition.
  • Communicate with Healthcare Team: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Provide clear, concise information about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to patients and their families.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Best Practices: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest respiratory care techniques, research, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • State Licensure and BLS Certification: Possess current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS and NRP Certification: Obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within specified timeframes.
