Job Summary

The Operations Manager - Field Services is responsible for overseeing all operational functions at a branch, ensuring seamless and efficient delivery of services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight of grease tech and plant operations
  • Review and approval of all paperwork, including manifests, routing tickets, and DVIRs, for completion and accuracy
  • Monitoring of service levels and deliveries to ensure optimal efficiencies and recommend measures to improve operational practices and quality of customer care
  • Collaboration with other departments to ensure excellent communication within the region
  • Resolution of customer service and delivery issues, working closely with Operations Managers at other branches to coordinate asset transfers
  • Maintenance of proper staffing levels to meet and exceed customer and branch needs
  • Analysis and reporting on operational activities, including service levels, routing efficiency, labor and overtime, and fuel
  • Development and implementation of standard practices and efficiency recommendations in collaboration with the Regional Vice President
  • Fleet DOT administration, including log book and record maintenance
  • Review and approval of e-time punches prior to payroll processing, as well as review and approval of time off request forms and scheduling of time off based on operational necessity
  • Administration of the company's safety program at the branch, working closely with Safety and HR departments to coordinate safety training as needed
  • Employee development and conducting periodic performance reviews
  • Creation and maintenance of a positive, safe, and effective work environment
  • Operation of a variety of company vehicles and pulling trailers with company vehicles
  • Performance of other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-year degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training (5 years preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience leading a diverse team to accomplish results (5 years preferred)
  • Customer service and team building skills
  • Organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning and repair of company assets
  • Valid driver's license (Class C)
  • Experience with multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures
  • Computer knowledge, including Navision, Microsoft Office, and routing/logistics software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial statements and experience managing a budget
  • Knowledge of all company assets in inventory
