Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fluid Power Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will apply theory and principles of hydraulic engineering for the installation, operation, commissioning and safe repair of hydraulic components, power units, cylinders and related equipment.

This role involves diagnosing hydraulic systems, equipment and components parts for operational efficiency and troubleshooting and determining the cause of failure. You will also prepare the system(s), components and equipment for install and/or disassembly as required, including lockout/tag out, isolation, bracing, line bleeding and depressurization.

  • Provide data collection, failure analysis, repair, reassembly, and testing skills, including proper documentation and reporting.
  • Repair and maintain mechanical equipment by servicing, disassembling and assembling, repairing and testing machinery, machine components and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Perform installation services, routine maintenance, inspections; troubleshoot malfunctions and modernizations on equipment.

You will work closely and support engineering, modernizations and spares group to provide the customer a complete service package. Additionally, you will have the ability to train customers' personnel in proper operation and maintenance of equipment, and must be a self-starter who can manage their own individual work and activities in the field.
