Job Summary

The Director of Mathematics Education will lead the development, administration, and implementation of professional learning experiences for pre-service and in-service mathematics educators across the state of Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for KCM's state-wide professional learning programs.
  • Serve as a mathematics pedagogy and content expert for instructional coaching, elementary, intermediate grades, and middle grades.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for KCM Regional Consultants who provide professional learning and support to over 3,000 Kentucky teachers.
  • Oversee the work of KCM staff in the coordination of logistics for promotion, registration, delivery, and ongoing support for KCM professional learning events.
  • Assist the KCM Executive Director in presenting to and advising stakeholders across Kentucky, fostering collaborative relationships with entities such as the Kentucky Department of Education and the Council on Postsecondary Education.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum), Master's Degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years business/finance/logistics/operations experience.
  • Understanding and proficiency with SAP (preferred).
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel/Word and Google Docs/Sheets.
  • Competent office management, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
