Position Overview:
Persistent Systems is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Software Engineer who will play a crucial role in the testing of our innovative Wave Relay products.
The Quality Assurance Software Engineer will ensure that our offerings align with both customer expectations and Persistent Systems' stringent quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting software testing and evaluation for the Wave Relay system.
- Developing and executing a diverse array of low-level software, hardware solutions, and application software testing (including device drivers, Linux kernel modules, and network stack development).
- Assisting with both in-house and field engineering tasks, which may include travel to client locations.
- Integrating various systems, sensors, and components with the Wave Relay platform.
- Drafting technical proposals.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in functional automated testing.
- Experience in defining software test requirements.
- Proven track record in process enhancement, focusing on data and process quality.
- Experience in formulating software test plans encompassing regression, functional, performance, and stress testing.
- Ability to generate procedures, test plans, and comprehensive test result documentation.
- Proficiency in scripting for test automation.
- Experience in constructing both fixed and variable test platforms to ensure efficient and repeatable software testing processes.
- Familiarity with wireless communication and networking technologies.
- Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance or possess one already.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in software development utilizing languages such as C/C++, Python, Shell Script, or similar.
- Database expertise, including the ability to write and execute SQL queries.
- Experience with Cisco and enterprise networking.
The compensation for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
