We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide rehabilitation services to patients, including assisting with exercises, transfers, and other activities as directed by therapists.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and maintain patient charts, filing, copying, faxing, and discharging as assigned.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Education in a related field may be substituted for experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to bend and have adequate physical strength to lift and assist with transfers and resistive activities.
- Works in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- May be required to work holidays, weekends, and emergency situations as needed.
