Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Baton Rouge General. As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide rehabilitation services to patients, including assisting with exercises, transfers, and other activities as directed by therapists.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and maintain patient charts, filing, copying, faxing, and discharging as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Education in a related field may be substituted for experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to bend and have adequate physical strength to lift and assist with transfers and resistive activities.
Working Conditions
  • Works in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • May be required to work holidays, weekends, and emergency situations as needed.
