We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As an Anesthesiologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with a medical team to design treatment plans, and overseeing the administration of anesthesia to patients before procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors
- Work with a medical team to design a patient's treatment plan
- Oversee the administration of anesthesia to patients before procedures
- Monitor vital signs of the patient during surgery and adjust anesthetics as needed
- Maintain detailed notes on patient treatment, dosing, and vital signs
- Continue care after surgery to control the level of pain relief and consciousness
- Communicate continuing care instructions to specialists, nurses, and other medical staff
- United States Citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesia
Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities
