Job Overview

The Lead Quality Control Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring product excellence through rigorous testing and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive product evaluations utilizing standard laboratory techniques and advanced analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, FTIR, UV/Vis, TLC).
  • Review and authorize master manufacturing documentation.
  • Guarantee adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in all operational procedures.
  • Identify and report non-compliance issues to the Quality Manager, ensuring prompt corrective measures are taken.
  • Assist during regulatory and third-party audits and inspections.
  • Prepare and manage quality documentation, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in tracking metrics such as test outcomes and project success indicators.
  • Enter and verify batch records in the ERP system.
  • Request Certificates of Analysis (COAs), specification sheets, and allergen information from suppliers as necessary.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient laboratory environment, demonstrating exceptional accuracy in all tasks.
  • Provide technical assistance to Operations and Management teams.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure the laboratory, equipment, glassware, and storage areas are kept in pristine, ready-to-use condition.
  • Availability to work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, UV-VIS, FTNIR, and TLC is preferred.
  • Experience in microbiological testing is a plus.
  • Solid understanding and application of relevant GMP regulations.
  • Background in a Quality Department within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with laboratory methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.

Education & Experience:

A High School Diploma/GED or higher education is required, along with relevant experience gained through on-the-job training or previous employment.
