FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers seeks a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Portland, Maine. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and provide an exceptional experience for patients.

Salary: $28-$32/hour + bonus up to an additional $5,000 per year

About the Role:
We are looking for an energetic Physical Therapist Assistant to assist in the provision of physical therapy interventions and clinic operations. As a member of our dynamic team, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director, providing top-notch care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in all aspects of patient care
  • Measure and track patient progress, informing the Physical Therapist of any changes
  • Carry out techniques and exercises prescribed by the Physical Therapist
  • Keep the Physical Therapist up-to-date on changes in patient progress
  • Help measure and track intervention effectiveness
  • Educate patients on continuing care

Requirements:
  • Entry-level degree in Physical Therapy or graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • BLS Certification required
  • Exercise, manual-based skills with sports rehabilitation experience
  • Current state of Maine license or license eligible
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills with the ability to multitask
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Able to use computers, telephones, and perform data entry
  • Able to work independently, manage time efficiently, problem-solve, and multi-task
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to collaboratively develop our clinic and mission
